A donor-advised fund (DAF) provides you with a centralized charitable giving vehicle. DAFs allow individuals, families, and corporations to make irrevocable charitable gifts to nonprofits. You would take an immediate tax deduction upon setting up your DAF with your local community foundation or financial institution, and that institution will make the gifts you designate. You can also make a nonprofit a beneficiary of your DAF, so that when you pass, the remainder of your DAF is given to that organization. Please notify us if you make Population Connection a beneficiary of your DAF! We’d love to recognize you as a member of our ZPG Society.
Population Connection is grateful for all donations from donor-advised funds and we will work with you to make the giving process simple and efficient. Please use the tool below, which automatically links with your DAF, allows you to recommend how you’d like your gift to be used and notifies Population Connection of your intentions. Using this link to grant from your DAF also saves us a lot of time, so thank you! It’s a great way to ensure consistent financial support while saving cash for immediate needs.
*Please note that the tool will connect you to your DAF accounts for top DAF institutions; however, not all DAF providers participate, so if your DAF administrator is not listed, you’ll need to contact them directly to make your gift.
If you’d like to work directly with you fund manager, please provide them with the following information:
EIN: 94-1703155
Legal Name: Population Connection

What is a donor-advised fund?
A donor-advised fund (DAF) provides donors with a centralized charitable giving vehicle. It allows philanthropically inclined individuals, families, and corporations to make an irrevocable charitable gift to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program and take an immediate tax deduction. Gifts accepted include cash equivalents, securities, and certain other assets.
How does it work?
Main advantages of a donor-advised fund
* Sponsoring organizations generally assess an administrative fee on the assets in a DAF. These fees vary by the charity that sponsors a DAF program.
